By following this tutorial you will learn the two options you have the clip in your timeline doesn’t fill the entire screen. This can happen when you have pictures or clips that have different resolutions. The first option is to adjust the project properties to match the resolution of the clip. The second option is to adjust the resolution of the clip to match the video resolution. The second option is the one I advise because you will probably have more than one picture or clip in your timeline and the chance exists that they both have different resolutions.
